ARTWORK
EMBODIMENT SERIES
The Embodiment Series is an autobiographical body of work examining masculinity, vulnerability, erotic presence, and self-authorship.
Emerging from Susfab’s history in fashion and image-making, the series reclaims the male body as narrative site rather than commodity. The figure is both subject and architect of the frame — performer and witness simultaneously.
These works collapse the boundary between portrait and persona, confronting visibility, control, and the politics of looking.
Mixed media, painting, and photographic integration.
FRACTURED AUTHORITY SERIES
The Fractured Authority Series reinterprets American leadership through portraiture informed by historical research and contemplative process.
Rather than idealizing or condemning, the works examine the psychic imprint of power. How individuals shape and are shaped by national identity - history reverberating through the present.
Each painting merges formal study with intuitive inquiry, reframing authority as a living psychological and cultural force.
Oil, acrylic, and mixed media on canvas. Standard size: 24” x 36” unless noted.
SCULPTURE
Susfab’s sculptural work explores duality, temporality, and the layered nature of identity.
Recurring motifs include the Janus figure — facing past and future — and architectural references to thresholds, gates, and transformation. Materials range from porcelain and metal to mixed industrial components, emphasizing the tension between fragility and permanence.
These works examine the spiritual and physical self as simultaneous states, inhabiting both mythic and contemporary frameworks.
